Booking Parties: How-To Training: Get a Party By Friday!
Published January 9, 2012 Uncategorized Leave a CommentDo the holidays mean an automatic trip to crazytown? For most of us, the short answer is yes, of course! (DUH!)
But it really doesn’t have to if you follow some simple tips:
6 Ways to Stay Sane This Holiday Season
- Act like Santa: Make lists and check them off. Use a big red marker. Just the action of checking off items on a list is a powerful stress reliever.
- Keep your schedule: Don’t get off-track with exercise and diet (too much). If you stick to your regular schedule and program, you will sleep better, handle stress better and enjoy your holiday (and life) more.
- Prioritize: If you absolutely don’t need to do it, don’t. When you make your lists, number things
or write them down in sequence. This will help you get the important (stress-causing) tasks done
without whiling away time doing things that don’t matter. In other words, don’t vacuum the closets when you really need to wrap gifts. - Try to remember the reason for it all: It isn’t about standing in long lines and fighting for parking at the mall. Before you rush out the door to get those last-minute items, give yourself a reality check. It’s about family and the people that are dear to you. Hang a picture of them in your car and try to smile at it when that *&^%$* steals the last available parking spot.
- Have fun! While everyone is outside playing or enjoying the holiday party, are you fretting and running around trying to make everyone happy? Yes, the punch bowl needs refilling and of course, the ham needs to come out of the oven on time, but try to be a guest at your party for a while vs. just acting like “the help.” It will help you enjoy things more. And really, who cares if the shrimp puffs overcook a little?
- When all else fails, remember it only comes once a year and before you know it, we’ll be smack-dab in the middle of January and looking for the next fun event
to cure us of our winter doldrums.

Party Plan Recruiting for the New Economy

How to recruit for your team…
Bad economy. Jobs lost. No money and not much light on the horizon.
Sounds familiar, right? So how in the world are you going to convince someone, with no job, to join your team?
Honestly, some may close up shop and put their dream of building a huge team (and equally huge income) to rest…at least for now. But stop! This could be the very best time to recruit for your team.
Why? Because people don’t have jobs, prospects or any bites on the hundreds of resumes they’ve sent. So…it stands to reason that they don’t have any reason not to join your team.
But…you’ve got to recruit with purpose. No longer can it just be about having fun and making a little extra cash for that special family vacation. Now it’s about making enough money to pay the rent and buy groceries. It’s about making a living. That is the purpose for your recruiting.
You have to position your message to talk to those people who not only want something new to try, but make them believe they can really make it a new career. That’s why you need to know exactly what to do to build your business and then be able to show your team how to do it.
If you know how to get bookings, recruit with purpose, market your business and develop your growth, you’ll be able to not only grow your own business, but help others do the same. Recruiting with purpose is the vision mind-set you need to have to build your team now.
Showing your potential recruits the numbers and how to achieve them is the way to build your team. It’s about how much money they can make and the techniques to use to make it happen.
